Make a referral to Welcome Boxes

WELCOME BOXES is a project run by local churches to welcome refugees and asylum seekers when they first arrive in a local community.

By the giving of a simple 'Welcome Box', Welcomers (our volunteers) are able to visit their new Neighbours (refugees and asylum seekers) in their homes and introduce them to the local community.

This gives individuals confidence in getting to know the local area, finding a  place to belong and call home. Welcomers can also signpost individuals to any support they need from other local services, should they require it. Normally, Welcomers work with their new Neighbour over a period of three months to help them to integrate and find their feet.
