As an organisation, Welcome Churches don’t currently campaign or lobby the government on issues affecting refugee and asylum seekers. Here are some other organisations who have active campaigns at the moment.*

Refugee Action
– Working for refugees and asylum seekers to be welcome in the UK. That they will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives

JPIT – Joint Public Issues Team
Partnership between the Methodist church, Baptist Union, United Reformed church, Church of Scotland – working together for peace and justice
Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants
Campaigning for justice in immigration, nationality and asylum law and policy since 1967
Asylum Matters
Working in partnership locally and nationally to improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum through social and political change

Liberty
Campaigns around civil liberties and Human Rights in the UK since 1934

Safe Passage
Safe Passage campaigns to help unaccompanied children and vulnerable adults who are seeking asylum to find safe legal routes from Europe into the UK
