Churches welcoming refugees: London 5 October
Following on from the success of our first ‘Churches welcoming refugees’ day in Sheffield in March, we are delighted to be running another network day in London on 5th October. This day is for churches across the UK who want to be practically equipped and resourced to grow their ministry amongst refugees.
Some of the feedback from ‘Churches welcoming refugees’ in March said:
‘The day was a wealth of information and encouragement’.
‘It was encouraging to see that God is using churches and that Welcome Churches is putting churches in touch with each other.’
‘It was good to meet others with similar concerns and to talk through issues together’,

Seminars on the day will focus on:
Discipleship: How do we disciple people in our churches from a refugee background? How do we share the Christian faith with those who have English as a second language?
Integration: Helping refugees to find a place to belong in the UK Church.
Care: How do we care for refugees who have experienced trauma? How do we look after ourselves and others in refugee ministry?
Legal: Understanding and supporting people through the UK Asylum Process. These seminars will be run by immigration lawyers, giving great insight and expertise to the subject.
Our seminar speakers will include refugees, trauma experts, practitioners in refugee integration and discipleship and immigration lawyers. We have some great expertise to share with you!
